Warm greetings to all readers of the Kararu Dive Voyages newsletter. In this edition we bring you a very important update on Kararu's recent termination of contract with the Seahorse (PT. Indo Cruises) and introduce you to our amazing replacement vessel, the Sea Safari VII. We also are pleased to announce that barring any unexpected official fuel price rises, there will be no fuel surcharges for all scheduled cruises and no port clearance surcharges for cruises to Komodo in 2010. Finally the big news is now that we have two very large vessels available we are able to offer year round cruises in both the Komodo and the Rajah Ampat (Irian Jaya) region. Now you can dive either region all year round, more about this in the next edition of the newsletter. No more Seahorse
Kararu will no longer be representing the Seahorse (PT. Indo Cruises) in any way, and we wish to make it clear that the Seahorse will be neither marketed, sold, managed nor operated by PT. Kararu Dive Voyages. We have no further dealings with the Seahorse and PT. Indo Cruises whatsoever. Our Newest vessel - the Sea Safari VII
For all scheduled cruises in the Raja Ampat (Irian Jaya) region, we will use the majestic Sea Safari VII vessel. She is a lengthy 54 meters long and offers an abundance of luxury and space. Please visit www.kararu.com/sea-safari for detailed information about this amazing new vessel.
She will of course continue to offer the great experience you know from previous trips with her, including onboard Massage and Spa services. More information about the Cheng Ho at this link: www.kararu.com/cheng-ho More Single CabinsIn the past some of our valued customers have been disappointed with the availability of single cabins on our vessels. Guests traveling alone have had to share a cabin or pay a single occupancy surcharge. Kararu has taken steps to rectify this problem and we are pleased to announce that both of our vessels now have six single cabins. No Fuel Surcharges
Even better, there will also be no port clearance fees for all cruises to Komodo in the 2010 season. A port clearance and marine park fee will continue to apply to all cruises in the Raja Ampat region. (The marine park fee is included in the port clearance charge.) However there will be no fuel surcharge for these cruises. Special Cruise Offers
Diving in Komodo is simply fantastic! An abundance of dive sites to choose from, short cruising distance between dives and excellent diving conditions make a trip to Komodo an absolute must for serious divers. We have selected a few trips below which still have last minute availability. 13-10 Labuan Bajo - Bima (July 23-Aug 02, 2010) Please contact us for more information about these special deals Photo CreditIn the March, 2010 newsletter we used some great pictures taken by our good friend Aaron Fink. We unfortunately forgot to give him the proper credit for these great pictures - our mistake! Have a look at his picture of the diver above the huge school of fish (above), and the one of the cuttlefish in the last edition of the Newsletter HERE |
