Digital underwater videos taken on the Kararu live aboard dive voyages travels around the dive sites of Indonesia. Many of these videos show either very rare creatures only seen in this part of Indonesia or more common animals doing some very unusual things. There are also a few video clips showing the traditional fishing practices of the Indonesian island people.

A friendly manta ray joins us for the safety stop at Manta Alley just off Komodo Island. This is one of our regular dive sites on the Komodo cruise and would be a great dive even without the resident Mantas.

Turtles of various species are still very common in eastern Indonesian waters. There is a turtle hatching program in Bali which is helping to conserve stocks and many Green Turtles migrate north from Australia.

Clownfish Alley is an huge Anenemone field of about one square kilometre located in front of a fishing village in Alor. The drop off at the edge of the field is a good place to to see Thresher sharks.

A whale has been spotted off Lamahera, one the last traditional whaling villages in the world. If they can get in range a young man or boy will jump onto the whale's back with a harpoon.
