The water's surrounding the Alor regency are extremely rich with varied reef profiles; walls, seamounts, rocky outcrops, and pristine coral-reefs. The secret dive site in the Kalibahi Bay is home to harlequin shrimp, sea horses, ghost pipe fish, wonderpus, mimic octopus and hairy frogfish.
Sustainable fishing practices and eco tourism are prevalent in the Alor Island region and there are no signs of reef destruction. Opportunities abound to interact with the locals on the various islands who are a traditional seafaring people. Visibility is clear, waters warm and the density of divers is minimal, Alor is perfect tropical scuba diving.

how do I get there?
The Alor Liveaboard cruises are available as a eleven night expedition departing from the port of Maumere in Flores. Kararu recommends that all guests arrive and overnight in Bali before embarking on a domestic flight to Maumere, Flores. Kararu will arrange all domestic flight ticketing and transportation between Bali and Maumere. The flight time from Bali to Maumere is 2 hours. The flight is direct. Your flight will depart early morning from Bali to Maumere’s domestic airport. Our crew will be standing by to welcome you on board. A full orientation will take place today as you settle in for the diving expedition of a lifetime.
All luggage and check-in procedures will be handled by a member of Kararu Dive Voyages. Each passenger is allowed 50 kg of luggage for up to 2 legs of the flight, excess baggage is charged at $2.00 US per kilo per leg (subject to change without notice).
